Club Layout

The Denver Garden Railway Society owns and operates a permanent Garden Railroad Display on the grounds of the Colorado Railroad Museum. The Museum is open year-round, daily from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. The public can view the layout during museum hours, but is not allowed inside the layout fence. Visit the Colorado Railroad Museum Layout at http://coloradorailroadmuseum.org/

Qualified DGRS members in good standing are welcome to bring and run their own trains or select pieces of club equipment on our garden railway at the Colorado Railroad museum. Club members receive free general admission to the Colorado Railroad Museum. You will be required to take basic training, pass a test, and participate in a few work sessions during year doing up keep and maintenance. The minimum age allowed inside the garden railway is 10 years, and members under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian qualified to operate trains on the layout.
